When we arrived, this house looked like it got drunk the night before and stayed up too late. Its cottage charm was masked by a tired color scheme, spindly columns, and a crumbling porch Mikiten Architecture restored the house’s dignity. We turned the entrance sequence away from the busy street, doubled up square column at the porch, and clad the base in stone. We custom designed the paint scheme, including formulation of the colors themselves.

The homeowners are masterful chefs and gardeners. We designed the new kitchen for entertaining, and added a breakfast room that connects to their lush backyard.

Our solution shows that you don’t have to have endless space or money to have a high-end experience. Using common materials (plastic laminate countertops, even!) this kitchen achieves class through details, such as a tall backsplash and ceiling vaults.
